The RRF reached the end of its implementation on the ground on 31 Aug 2026, and the Commission is currently assessing Member States’ final payment requests.
Since the beginning of the RRF, the Commission has disbursed EUR 450 billion (79% of the RRF envelope) in grants and loans to Member States. As of the end of September 2026, all Member States have submitted their final payment requests. The Commission is currently assessing 32 payment requests, amounting to EUR 123 billion. During its final year of implementation, all efforts have been geared towards a successful conclusion of the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
