Recently, our CEO Stefano Mainero has written an article on “What did we learn from COP30?” where the (scarce) results of this year’s COP, organised in Belem (Brazil), made asking the question on whether this kind of events are still needed, taking into account the huge emissions they generate due to the travelling of hundreds of stakeholders flying from any part of the work to the event venue.
This analysis is followed by the European Environment Agency (EEA) report published last 28 Sept 2025 that highlights what has been done for the environment so far and how much is still needed to reduce climate change effects.
The article ends with the warm suggestion of taking part in EU-funded projects – in particular, Horizon Europe – as a way of giving each of us the possibility of contributing to this cause while getting fresh money that would help boost the EU business for small and large organisations, private or public.
The article was published on the TechiesGoGreen website, organisation very much committed to keep the environment green and member/chair of the Dublin-based GEC Sustainability Cluster whose EPN Consulting Research and Innovation is member too and part of the Steering Committee.
