The European Commission is inviting citizens and stakeholders alike to support the progress review of the Drone Strategy 2.0 by sharing their views on the future of Europe’s drone ecosystem.
Adopted in November 2022, the Drone Strategy 2.0 set out a vision for a user-centred, innovative and competitive European drone ecosystem delivering economic, societal and security benefits. Since the Strategy’s adoption, the global drone and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft landscape has evolved significantly.
Rapid technological developments, changing market conditions and new policy developments have reshaped the operating environment. The progress review will assess the implementation and continued relevance of the Strategy.
Two complementary consultations are open from today until 06 Sept 2026.
